The only way that I know of to operate at a different voltage with a six lead motor is to make the low voltage a delta connection and the high voltage a wye connection at the motor. Delta will have the three corner points of the high voltage connection connected internally and one common lead brought out. This motor is on a big Cincinnati Mill. Usual bearing failure for general purpose motors are more on grease related application problem, misalignment, worn out bearing and loosen bearing housing.
